Why is there a participant limit?
Unfortunately... at this time we are only able to facilitate 1750 people on brewery grounds. We want everyone who pays the registration fee to have the most enjoyable time possible. Also, we must always be conscious of the safety and well-being of our guests and customers!Personally, I would hate to think that anyone who registered early was shorted on food, a parking spot, a seat or a commemorative t-shirt because we, as the hosts and organizers, continued to allow registrations too close to the actual event date. Likewise, I would hate for anyone to register later and not receive what is included in the registration for everyone else (a meal ticket, a t-shirt, etc.).
And since this is a very relaxed event, we do not currently have the ability to track cancellations or potential no shows until the day of the event, which is not much help for those wanting to be put on a waiting list. That is why we do not offer that option. On top of, not everyone who participates always checks in before they ride, as they should and are instructed. Many of the people who have contacted me in regards to not being able to ride after they have registered have already found substitutes (as we do not offer refunds) or they are still planning to attend at least for the festivities after the fact.
I wish we could accommodate everyone but we are quite limited by parking, time to prepare and space in our current facility! We will do what we can in future years to allow as many participants as possible, but at this juncture, 1750 participants is as high as we are comfortable in allowing. Sorry if this inconveniences anyone!
